Deliverables from the ethnoArc project
Public deliverables
This section provides access to the public deliverables written and published by the ethnoArc project.
-
D3 State of the Art Report (PDF, 1.2 MB)
Deliverable describing state of the art in ethnological digital archives from a technical, scientific, organisational and user interface point of view. This deliverable represents the baseline on which the work within ethnoArc will be measured.
-
D4 Metadata Requirements and Specification (PDF, 1.1 MB)
Deliverable describing the metadata requirements of archives, based on the archives own experiences and the results of the questionnaires. Based on that information, the scheme for defining a metadata structure is be specified and documented, which represents the base for the ethnoArc tools implementation.
-
D6 Database Structure, API and Metadata Mapping (PDF, 0.7 MB)
Deliverable describing the mapping between the database structure description (documented in D4 above) to an SQL database, serving as an internal documentation of the API for the ethnoArc tools and also allowing researchers outside the project to implement tools to access the information in the database.
-
D8-1-2 Executive Summary (PDF, 0.2 MB)
This deliverable was created after the first year of the project to summarize the work done and results achieved at the halfway point of ethnoArc.
-
D9 Meta-search proof of concept implementation (PDF, 0.15 MB)
This short paper describes the results achieved on the ethnoMARS search engine. Since the actual deliverable is the search-engine prototype itself, the paper just summarizes the implementation process.
-
D12 Final Implementation Report (PDF, 1.4 MB)
This deliverable describes the final (within the running time of the project) versions of the tools implemented. Two of the tools implemented in the project are not described in that deliverable, since separate handbooks for these tools have already been provided. These handbooks are the ethnoMARS handbook and the handbook for the DBmanager.
In addition to the description of the tools, the Final Implementation Report also contains a concluding chapter outlining the changes done in the second year of the project.
